Angela McGraw DNP, NP, MSCP

With over 25 years of experience and a strong focus on client-centered, compassionate care, Angela brings extensive healthcare expertise across several areas. Her specialties include women’s health, particularly perimenopause/menopause care and hormone replacement therapy; trans/gender-affirming care with a commitment to trauma-informed practices; mental health care, including the diagnosis and treatment of anxiety, depression, PTSD, and PMDD; as well as chronic disease management and weight loss support.

We are excited to announce that our Nurse Practitioner, Dr. Angela McGraw is now a Menopause Society Certified Practitioner (MSCP). This certification from the Menopause Society (formely called NAMS, North American Menopause Society) represents Dr. McGraw's committment to providing her clients with evidenced based perimenopause/menopause care. She is also an active member of various national and international menopause professional groups, including the Menopause Society, the Canadian Menopause Society, and the Internal Menopause Society. 

Mark McGraw BBA, BCompSc

Mark's journey into healthcare began in the early 2000s as part of a team developing concept EMRs, sparking a lasting commitment to patient-focused innovation. In 2017, he and his wife Angela launched Atlantic House Calls to combine strategic business insight with compassionate care.

While Angela leads clinical care, Mark drives business strategy and technology. His mission is to improve patient outcomes by removing barriers to care. He collaborates with Angela and other practitioners to develop systems, tools, and processes that reduce administrative burdens, allowing clinicians to focus on what matters most: their patients.

Angela McGraw has been a Nurse Practitioner since 2010, earning a Doctorate in Nursing Practice from the University of Massachusetts Amherst in 2019. Her Doctoral scholarly work focused on educating front line health care workers about trauma informed care and assessing for adverse childhood experience in primary care (see link below to access scholarly article). She is registered to practice as a NP in New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, PEI and Ontario. Angela is also a proud Menopause Society Certified Practitioner (MSCP).

Her clinical interests include women’s health, menopause care, hormone replacement therapy, weight management, trauma informed care and assessment and management of anxiety, depression, PTSD, PMDD and ADHD.

Jo-Anne is a licensed psychologist with the College of Psychologists of New Brunswick (CPNB). She has a Bachelor of Science with Honours, as well as a Masters of Science, in Psychology. Jo-Anne has worked for the department of education, the public health system, and in private practice over the last 15 years. Throughout her career, Jo-Anne has worked with individuals of all ages and has supported clinicians, coworkers, and staff from a variety of organizations. She enjoys working with individuals from different disciplines as well as helping individuals meet their own goals. Jo-Anne uses a person-centered, and trauma-informed, approach to her work. She provides a safe, accepting, and non-judgemental space for individuals and uses a variety of evidence-supported therapy models. Some of her more regularly used treatment approaches include cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), solution focused brief therapy (SFBT), and motivational interviewing (MI). Jo-Anne has also completed training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and some of these therapeutic techniques with individuals. Jo-Anne currently works with adults (i.e., individuals 18 years of age and older) with a variety of mental health concerns including anxiety and depression, ADHD, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), traumatic stress, and psychosis. Jo-Anne also provides psychodiagnostic testing to adults This type of testing is used to identify an individual’s current difficulties and to provide specific treatment recommendations. A diagnosis is also sometimes provided with this sort of testing. Common areas assessed in psychodiagnostic testing include: anxiety, depression, bipolar disorders, symptoms of psychosis, personality disorders, and traumatic stress disorders (like Post Traumatic Stress Disorder).

Yes. We provide comprehensive menopause and perimenopause support in Saint John, including hormone assessments, symptom management, and hormone replacement therapy when appropriate.

Yes. NuHaven Health is a women-focused health clinic led by our owner, Nurse Practitioner Dr. Angela McGraw, offering care for hormone health, mental wellness, and medically assisted weight loss.

Absolutely. We offer in-office appointments in the Greater Saint John area, as well as virtual visits for residents of NB, NS, PEI, and ON.

Hormone replacement therapy is offered when clinically appropriate following a comprehensive assessment by our nurse practitioner.

You can book online through our scheduling system and choose the appointment type that best fits your needs.

Our services are not covered by provinical health coverage (ex., by Medicare in NB). Some private health insurance plans cover private Nurse Practitioner services, such as chronic disease management, mental health care and menopause care. Our services may be covered by private insurance plans with a health spending account (HSA). Please contact your insurance plan for details regarding specific coverage details. 

Our Nurse Practitioners and psychologists are approved Blue Cross providers. We do not direct bill at this time. 

We require 48 hour notice for appointment cancellations. Please call 506-248-9170 or email info@nuhavenhealth.ca to cancel your appointment. If the cancellation occurs within 48 hours of your appointment, a charge of 50% of the appointment fee will be billed to your credit card on file.
